Silverstar padded out of her den and jumped onto talltree. Let all cats old enouph to cats their own prey gather here beneath the talltree for a clan meeting! she watched the cats come out of their dens and anounced, Darkpelt will be the new deputy. She sat back and waited for darkpelt to speak

Silverstar nodded, happiness in her eyes. She knew she had the perfect deputy. She climbed down from the talltree and watched the cats disapear into there dens. She went over and licked darkpelt across the ears. You will be an amazing deputy, then go on to a legendary leader. She said.

Silverstar nodded. I know. her memories flew back to the times when they had been apprentices in seperate clans, fighting off darkpaws brother. Her eyes closed and opened again. She looked up at Darkpelt and knew she loved him, but she just pressed her muzzle to his and padded back to her den.

Silverpaw padded into her den and peeked her head out. "Can you sleep in here tonight? or maybe from now on? she asked darkpelt.

Silverpaw gathered moss off the walls and made a big nest. She and darkpelt curled up in it. She had pleasant dreams that night, of the times when they were apprenices.

darkpelt knew his brother would only attack at a time of desperation.... im not going to let him get near any of the borders.... he will never be a threat again darkpelt thought

Silverstar winced when an image of misttail came into her head. She moved closer to darkpelt and hoped her clan would never have to face misttail or his rouges.

darkpelt relized that silverstar and him had a bond that allowed her to sense his troubles.. so he drifted his mind away from rouges and thought on going in a hunting patrol and getting some food for the clan And then he also could train his aprentice before he let sleep take over.

Her thoughts changed to something more pleasant, and she let herself sink into sleep.

darkpaw then fell into a deep sleep... he had visions of birth and life!

Darkpelts dreams came into silverstars head. She could just make out a white pelt and 3 tiny figures....

Silverstar got up. "Darkpelt im going to visit the medicine cat" she mewed. "Theres... theres something i need to figure out."
